A Timeline of Success - Friends of Guild Park 2011 - 2025

The many successes and achievements of Friends of Guild Park are summarized in the timeline starting in 2011, see images below.


Fourteen years ago, Guild Park & Gardens was one of Canada's historic places most at risk of being lost. In 2011, the National Trust for Canada / Fiducie nationale du Canada described the Guild Inn site, shown below around that time, as a textbook case of "demolition by neglect."



The following year, volunteers launched Friends of Guild Park to bring activities and awareness to the 88-acre site. The award-winning not-for-profit organization has gone to achieve more than 40 significant Guild Park milestones, as listed in this timeline.
